Integrated into the Festival Música d’Ponte programme, this event features a talk dedicated to the Viola Braguesa and the Portuguese Cavaquinho, two of Portugal’s most iconic traditional string instruments. Through a moment of shared knowledge and discovery, participants will explore the history, evolution and significance of these instruments within Portuguese traditional music, gaining a deeper appreciation of their cultural and heritage value.
The session will conclude with a live musical performance, bringing the themes discussed to life while offering an introduction to the artistic programme of the Festival Música d’Ponte. The audience will also have the opportunity to discover the musicians and concerts that will shape the Festival’s two-day programme.
