Beer Museum
If I were God, I would stop the Sun over Lisbon.
António Lobo Antunes (n. 1942)
At Terreiro do Paço, where Lisbon breathes and the Tagus inspires, the Beer Museum is a celebration at the table. Here, tradition doesn’t rush – dishes honouring Portuguese cuisine and Lusophone flavours are savoured slowly, because time spent at the table here is always well lived.
On the terrace, the Tagus River invites you to watch the lively life of one of Europe’s largest squares while enjoying a well-chilled beer. Inside, the museum reveals the history of one of the world’s oldest beverages through a sensory visit. And, of course, all of this is accompanied by a craft beer menu unapologetically diverse – because every glass tells a new story.
Restaurant
View over Terreiro do Paço, Júlio Pomar’s art on the walls, time at the table. The rest follows naturally.
More than a meal, here one lives a celebration of the best Portugal has to offer. At the Beer Museum’s restaurant, Portugal sits at the table with friends. Portuguese cuisine is served with pride, between dishes that honour tradition and an altar that pays homage to the world’s most consumed alcoholic drink. From octopus to Codfish Cake with Serra da Estrela PDO Cheese, from veal steak to bacalhau, everything tastes better with a good beer!

Menus
Grups
Whether for lunches, group dinners, or tailored events, the Beer Museum welcomes groups with the same care it takes to pour a good beer: with friendliness and that flavour that lingers in the memory.
There are special menus, guided tours and customised experiences – all designed for toasting together. We work with travel and event agencies, companies, tour operators and organised groups, with capacity for up to 300 people. Menus are flexible and adapted to different profiles, schedules and budgets.
If you want something off the menu, raise your glass and talk to us. We’re always ready for another round – with a view of the Tagus, good food, good beer, and everything needed to surprise those who visit Lisbon.
Museum
Drink with your eyes, learn with your ears, taste with pleasure. Here, beer takes centre stage, and the applause is served in an exclusive glass.
You don’t need to be a master brewer to enjoy history; you just need to like beer. At the Beer Museum, the journey begins in European monasteries, where monks brewed beer to endure fasting (and, let’s be honest, to make it more bearable!). Then, we cross the Industrial Revolution and enter a world where everything changed – except the pleasure of raising a glass. The experience is interactive, full of curiosities, and ends as every good story should: with a beer in hand, chosen by you from over 100 Portuguese craft beers.

Júlio Pomar Cup
A glass with art, a toast with soul.
At the Beer Museum, even the glass has a story. Designed by Júlio Pomar, this exclusive glass combines form and function: an inverted half-bottle encased in glass, keeping the beer fresh and elevating every sip.
Available with the flag of any country in the world, it’s more than a souvenir; it’s culture to take with you.
