Valentine's Day: Cupid shoots an arrow straight at love at the Beer Museum
The coolest restaurant in Terreiro do Paço has prepared a special menu for the perfect couple, which includes a free visit for two to the museum that tells the story of the most consumed alcoholic drink in the world.
In a story published in 1853, the New York Times wrote about the origin of Valentine’s Day, calling it “a mysterious historical problem which is doomed never to be solved.” 172 years later, the mystery remains in the secret of the Gods.
Mystery or not, at the Beer Museum, the most romantic day of the year is being celebrated.
The Chef prepared an exclusive menu for the occasion, where love happens in the sharing of unusual dishes: sautéed shrimp with chili pepper, cooked pear and cinnamon, sea bass risotto with clams and chuletón. To finish, the fruit of passion, of course, in a cheesecake. (Price per person: €60, which includes drinks and a free visit to the museum).
For those in love, the moment will be blessed with an altar of glasses of exclusive design signed by Júlio Pomar and a pulpit to declare love to the world or a bishop’s chair that evokes a time marked by banquets reserved for the nobility and the clergy. And also a holy beer to bless love.
If you’re still struggling to prepare a romantic date for February 14th, this Cupid-approved recipe is foolproof and promises to surprise.
