Talk: Creating Global Value – Internationalisation of Portuguese Jewellery

As part of PortoJóia, CINDOR organised a series of talks entitled Portuguese Jewellery: Identity. World. Future., dedicated to exploring the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
Part of this series, the talk Creating Global Value: Internationalisation Strategies for Portuguese Jewellery Brands brought together Sónia Santiago, Director of Marketing and Cultural Communication at Grupo O Valor do Tempo, and João Barbosa, co-founder of MESH Jewellery, to discuss how Portuguese jewellery brands can establish themselves in international markets.
The discussion highlighted differentiation and authenticity as key factors in competitiveness, exploring the importance of building brands capable of engaging with global audiences while remaining true to their identity. In the case of Joalharia do Carmo, Portuguese filigree was central to this reflection, as both a cultural heritage and a distinctive craft with the potential to gain recognition beyond national borders.
A conversation about identity, branding and internationalisation, and how to transform the qualities that make Portuguese jewellery unique into value in an increasingly global market.
Free admission. Registration required. Limited places available.
