A symbol of Portuguese identity and traditions, the Galo de Barcelos was born from the creativity of local artisans and has gained recognition far beyond Portugal’s borders, becoming one of the country’s most iconic symbols.
In this workshop, led by artisan Rosa Maria, participants are invited to discover the history and meaning behind this traditional pottery figure and unleash their creativity by painting their own Galo de Barcelos.
An experience that brings the public closer to traditional craftsmanship, celebrates the cultural heritage of Barcelos and contributes to preserving and passing this tradition on to future generations.
