Guimarães Embroidery is distinguished by its monochromatic character, the variety of raised stitches and its predominantly floral and botanical motifs, which give it a unique identity within Portuguese embroidery. During this live demonstration, three artisans from Casa Real dos Bordados will work on a tablecloth measuring more than three metres, following the criteria and techniques associated with certified Guimarães Embroidery. Visitors will be able to observe closely the gestures, stitches and precision involved in this traditional craft, passed down through generations and deeply connected to the cultural identity of the region.
