Hosted by television presenter Fátima Lopes, the Baker’s on Fire challenge brings together invited artisan bakers for a live breadmaking event that combines creativity, historical research and traditional craftsmanship. Based on prior research, each participant is given a historical narrative and a selection of ingredients that serve as the starting point for creating bread inspired by different periods, regions or traditions.
Through live demonstrations, the sharing of techniques and interaction with the public, the event celebrates artisan breadmaking as a cultural expression and highlights bread as a living heritage passed down from generation to generation.
