The city that hosts Oktoberfest, the biggest Beer Festival in the world, is also the city that hosts the first game of Euro 2024. It is in Munich that Germany and Scotland will face each other on June 14th in the opening game of the most exciting European football championship.
For those who don’t go to Munich, Lisbon takes the lead: the Beer Museum, in Praça do Comércio, is the restaurant where fans of the most popular sport in the world will discover a new dimension of the Football & Beer. With the largest terrace in the country with capacity for 300 people, the space is now dominated by a giant 3-meter-wide screen where all Euro games will be broadcast live, allowing customers the possibility of enjoying the mystique of football in an area exclusive and with a menu for champions, in an atmosphere of relaxation and permanent party.
The menu kicks off with a national selection of delicacies such as Cod Pastry with Serra da Estrela PDO Cheese, Loin Prego and Tuna Prego with avocado and cuttlefish ink mayonnaise, or with the eternal Pica snack -Brewer stick. There is no shortage of Beef Steak and Grilled Cod, nor will there be a shortage of toasts in glasses signed by Júlio Pomar, especially when Portugal scores.
At halftime of each game and in between games, players on the terrace are invited to test their level of knowledge in football and, of course, in beer. The winners of each quiz take the trophy: a shirt printed on the spot with their name and election number. The other players who reach the podium get excited, because they will also take home a prize.
For those who love football and will be in Lisbon in a month where all eyes will be on Euro 2024, it is at the Beer Museum that the party will truly take place.
